![]() Elizabeth Donald Jericho Trail was too dangerous to hike alone-those were park rules. Hence two strangers hiking together. Chris went to the woods to be alone, to think and find peace after a bad breakup. Reed went to the woods for a good time. But he had no idea the trail would be so difficult-or that he would share it with such an intoxicating woman. Separated from the world, the dangers of the trail are nothing compared to the dance between two lost souls, forced together by circumstance but drawn together by the fire burning their blood.
REVIEWS!!! "Breathtaking views and starry
night skies provide a romantic atmosphere where two total strangers can
discover the meaning of true love and passion. TANDEM by
Elizabeth Donald is a
speedy journey down the path of romance. Packed with passionate
embraces, I wanted to learn more about this couple. Reed’s character
has many typically manly traits, but a surprising twist is that while
knowledgeable of several outdoor activities, he is a novice at hiking.
Trusting Chris’s expert advice, Reed uncovers more about his attractive
companion. An independent woman wanting to succeed on her own,
Chris discovers new things about herself when she is forced to take
Reed along on her weekend adventure. Ms. Donald not only uses the
sensual lovemaking to bring Reed and Chris closer physically, but to
also strengthen their growing bond. Quick glances of longing and
mounting sexual tension peak when these lovers give into temptation and
consummate their relationship. I hate camping, but I would be
more than willing to share my tent with Reed. TANDEM is a nice short
story that shows how fate can bring two strangers together under any
circumstances. Chris and Reed will wander in my mind for days to
come." "I enjoy stories that take their
time to build up to the flaming hot sex, and [TANDEM] did just that.
Sometimes with shorter stories the author uses sex as an introduction,
because let's face it, there are not that many pages to work with.
Personally, I really appreciate the tactic. However, even I... can
relate to the ploy of using anticipation to hook the reader, as long as
the author delivers. Elizabeth Donald delivered. When the sex started,
I had a hard time keeping my fingers on the book and away from
nefarious places. My heat o' meter went haywire and I took immense
gratification from my body's reaction. The beauty of it was that there
was a story beyond the sex and the author made sure it was apparent
from the beginning... Ms. Donald has my approval." "TANDEM is a good contemporary
that gives a perfect portrayal of a feisty and smart heroine in Chris.
Reed is a good hero, sexy as all get-out, but it is his ability to be
comfortable in any situation that makes him a great hero. The camping
setup was wonderful and the beauty of the scenes was captivating. The
intensity of the mountains was a wonderful catalyst to the drama of the
love at first sight. The sex is both hot and develops a very exciting
urgency as the couple moves through the hike. For readers wanting a
very short but highly entertaining love story, look no farther than
Ellora's Cave's Fun in the Sun release of TANDEM." "I recommend reading this book
–
it's a unique and interesting storyline as well as a fast, fun read.
The love scenes between Chris and Reed are hot and sexy (as well as
frequent) which this reader really appreciated!"
